Long Bay , to the north of Auckland city, is known for its beaches and for its seaside atmosphere. The kilometre-long beach is at the northern end of a series of small bays. There is a children's playground and a miniature railway. There is also a cliff-top walk to neighbouring bays, one of which serves as a nude beach.
